Wheeled Gremlins four new 15mm Ion Age vehicles

 “We reached the Star Port and I have never seen such a sight before and hope never to again.  It had been a damn hard fight to push the Styx Legion out of the Northern Sector and it had cost us dear.  Over six hundred killed and wounded but had it not been for the moth rotary cannons on our Gremlin AFV’s it would have been much higher. The rubbacrete pads were intact but strewn with bodies, so many bodies; not all of them intact.  The Legionaries do not provision the Maligs so they tend to their own needs.  Vermin.  We sought them out and took our vengeance for those civilians.  It seemed the enemy plan had been to bring a Dragonship down on the main pad. Our last 15mm sci-fi release of the year is here and is roaring into sight.  The new Burgeon wheeled bike (Ventus Model 407 Steed) is added to the range.  You can see it above with a hulking Afara Strider in the livery of the Prydian Army.

IAF184 Burgeon Wheeled Bike: The Retained riders of the semi-sentient steed the Ventus. A sleek and speedy vehicle. The Regiments of the Prydian Army and the Marcher Barons alike has platoons that are mounted on bikes for added mobility and fire power.  Few have the reliability and rugged survivability as the Model 207. Used for scouting missions as well as battle roles it is popular with its riders. With this set you can depict the bike in action or idle or the rider on foot for maximum flexibility. Great for skirmishing and then combining with other Prydian codes for larger formations and battles.

This code comprises three different poses of 15mm scale resin miniatures. You can also purchase each pose from this code as a single miniature for maximum flexibility.  When selecting single poses they are numbered 1 through to 3, running left to right.

Gremlin Hover Command vehicle 15mm

 It was a game of cat and mouse..or rather it was a deadly fight between the vehicle patrols of the Planetary Defence Forces and the dug in Maligs with their heavy weapons. There is little doubt that the patrols would have suffered far greater casualties in pop up ambushes had it not been for the armoured command variants of the Gremlins which gave advantages. Not only in command and control but also in planning and the four Moth rotary cannons each carried were ideal for the twisted hinterlands of the city. Wasteful of fabricated ammunition possibly however the saving of lives always matters more. Over the course of a week the hinterland was cleared and advance into New Gwent could begin proper. The Star Port was a mess and the Khanate would pay.

Ion Age 15mm free Patrol Angis download updated Vehicles

Gremlins are Medium Vehicles used by the Planetary Militia and Grima Combat Robots in lower scale conflicts and in fights against Shia Khan Legions. Currently three hover variants under codes IAF185A, B and C.  There will be further Gremlins as per the game rules in this article later in 2024.

Mullos are hard hitting Medium Vehicles used by the Retained Knights as well as Muster in battle. There are three variants which are wheeled, tracked and replusar each coming with two turret load outs as well as three APC variants of the same.  Codes are IAF042A to IAF042F.

Gremlin vehicles three hover variants new in 15mm range

 As the second Khanate War continued and worlds fell to the Legions as they spread ever further from the Matter Gateway in the Camarthen stellar system the threat to the entire Prydian Precinct grew dire. The Marcher Barons were in retreat and the Prydian Army in ascendency after twenty years of civil war but this did not mean that the military might of the Throne was enough.  Split between dealing with the growing alien invasion and the struggle for dominance in the core systems this resulted in neither war being tackled fully.  In 4340 IC the death of the Kingmaker Nevall in battle against Princess Cyon meant the Precinct was once more at peace with only small scale conflicts left to stamp out.  The loss of most of Knight General Obermann's fleet in 4331 IC on and around Camarthen Prime had meant near a decade of hit and run campaigns against the Dragon Ships as they sail in darkness out across the stellar cluster. While Humanity was able to deal with a single Dragon Ship entering a planetary orbit this was not the case as pairs and then trios and more of these mighty warships, each carrying an entire Legion, began to appear together.  It would take several years to gather enough might to tackle the Matter Gateway head on so for the moment single regiments were dispatched to hold and harry as best they could.

The clamour for Taranis and Magogs was constantly coming back to New Glastonbury and in such numbers that the demand could not be met.  It takes a lot of time and resources to build the mightiest war machines so a solution was looked for to supply the Camarthen Cluster with armoured vehicles for the use of Planetary Militia in huge numbers.  Part of this was the Gremlin series of medium vehicles which, across their many variants, were fabricated for city, snow, desert, low gravity and other environments.  They have been a great success being easier to produce and use less titanium than a Mullo AFV.

Above Grima Combat Robots and their controllers put an end to Shia Khan Pioneers in the frozen wastes of Hythe VIII with the aid of their Gremlin vehicles.  The Gremlin is a family of variants which give Planetary Militia and sometimes Muster added mobility and firepower that out classes the older Adder for weaponry and outpaces the much heavier Mullo classes of transport.
