Liathadyn Stormbrothers in Patrol Angis article and miniatures

A treat to end the month at The Ion Age with some Yeti fun.  Added to the Resource Wars page of the website a pack from Alternative Armies range which now has its own rules for use in Patrol Angis. Using Yeti in Patrol Angis

While The Ion Age is its own setting it does have a measure of involvement with the HOF Range over at Alternative Armies in the form of the Resource Wars.  The earliest history of what would become the Prydian Precinct many thousands of years in the future began on Earth in the twenty first century.  As you can read in the game books the Resource Wars were the catalyst which moves Humanity off into space, firstly the mineral rich solar system and then in mighty generational Ark Ships out into the stars.  They took the patterns of vehicles and equipment with them and though they have never even heard of Earth in many cases there are worlds where Charger APC and other vehicles have been made anew.  A great way to mix up your Planetary Militia with a local defence force using these vehicles.  We have a number of free articles for this HERE.

IAF172 Lord Pompous in Desteria Armour released

Back in September last year it was my pleasure to present to all the IonFans out there the tale of a new hero in an article by our good friend Aris Kolehmainen.  After this article was put online it was downloads some three thousand times and momentum grew for its titular character to be made into a miniature in his own right.  Gathering support resulted in an agreement from us and now Baron Pompous is released in all his splendour!  Our only release for this month is now out! A Pompous Heavy January 2019 at The Ion Age

A new year is here! Welcome to the last annum of the decade and it will be a grand one for The Ion Age. We continue to grow and to expand the range as well as the game systems. This month we are all about the Desteria the heaviest knights of the Prydian Precinct. All this month we have taken twenty percent off every pack code (not the platoon nor singles) belonging to the Desteria. A great offer and in theme with this month's new release which will be coming middle of January when Lord Pompous becomes a 15mm reality! “MkII Noblesse Powered Armour. Stopping short of actually building armour that must be piloted rather than worn the awesome Noblesse pattern is worn by Desteria Knights into the thick of battle. Fully sealed titanium alloy with an average of 27mm thickness across the body Noblesse makes use of the Chameleon Circuit and also uses the Celo 9 ultra thin layer of insta-nate ablative shell designed to shatter when impacted by enemy fire. This additional layer of protection along with paldrons of re-enforced titanium makes Noblesse three times more protective than MkV Alwite. Some Desteria fit the large Delver X jump jets to their armour while others opt for the cabled generator cells for on board energy based weapons such as the Valerin laser. All Noblesse armour features the flexible manipulator Impact Fist which can perform delicate tasks as well as smashing up to one foot of rubbacrete. Desteria miniatures are bigger than normal and are 24mm in height on average compared to a Retained at 18mm tall.

IAF075 Desteria Lance Command 

Alpha Perfect to lead your Desteria Knights into the fray we present lance command for the super heavy knights of the Ion Age. This code contains five different white metal 15mm scale poses all wearing MkII Noblesse powered armour. From left to right these are an officer with Valerin Laser Rifle and Pelleas powered Mace, communications specialist, medic with equipment, banner bearer with staff and Valerin Laser Rifle and lastly a casualty of a Desteria Knight laying face up. Each miniature is very detailed and features a crest upon its head. Desteria stand approx 24mm tall from sole of foot to top of crest. Go HERE. 

IAF013 Murdo and Galaine 

Bring forth the Desteria and bleed the enemy! This pack contains two large new white metal poses of 15mm character nobles in Noblesse super heavy powered armour. Baron Aldo Murdo armed with an Impact Fist and Sequence Particle Beamer in cloak and Baroness Lillian Galaine with Impact Fist and Hermit Plasma Rifle in cloak. IAF010 Desteria Demi Beta 

The super heavy infantry of the Prydian Precinct now have some backup following code IAF009 Desteria Demi Alpha two weeks ago. Wearing the thickest Noblesse powered armour and carrying the largest possible weapons that do not require an artillery or vehicle mount the Desteria are used for tasks just too tough for Retained Knights and the Muster. Code IA010 contains five brand new different white metal poses each with an Impact Fist (powered melee weapon) and either a Hermit 44mm Plasma Rifle or an Urgan 2 Bore auto-shotgun or a Valerin 9kw Laser Rifle. Each Desteria also sports a crest upon their helm. Desteria stand approx 24mm tall from sole of foot to top of crest. Go HERE. 

IAF009 Desteria Demi Alpha 

This week we have the first in an expansion of the original 28mm range into the brand new 15mm range on the Ion Age...Desteria Knights! The super heavy infantry of the Prydian Precinct are now in the 15mm Prydian Army as well as the 28mm Prydian Army. Wearing the thickest Noblesse powered armour and carrying the largest possible weapons that do not require an artillery or vehicle mount the Desteria are used for tasks just too tough for Retained Knights and the Muster.
